I can’t tell you exactly cost per hour, but my bill went from about $50 per month to like $135 in December. Kid wanted a swimming birthday party so pretty much kept the heater running all weekend for her. Wife uses the hot tub 2 to 3 times a week.
This is the first weekend I am heating the whole pool in a while. Starting at 60, and getting to like 83 or 84 to swim tomorrow with mid 70 temps.
I am guessing this will cost me about $50 in gas.
Hope this helps some

Electric and Gas cost per state
Raypak Gas estimate for pool heater
Gives a good idea of your gas bill cost.
We typically start using ours in March-Louisiana.
Set Temp for 90 and maintain that month.
My gas bill would be 350.00 for the month easy.
How to read a gas meter
You can also take a pic of your gas meter outside to get an idea of how much you used.
Then multiply that number x your gas cost per therm.
Will give you a good idea of your monthly bill or time to cut it off because cost will be to high.
Raypak ASME
I have this one.... ASME means it is for Commercial use.
I would not use anything but a ASME rated heater.
Commercial one will handle chemical swings better.
Think about the chemical swings of a public pool.
The commercial version ASME will last you longer.
Thats why they want you to buy the residential version.
Just some info as a pool owner.
