Archie comic artist Dan DeCarlo was a former pinup artist (you can see that influence in the attached DeCarlo artwork from Josie and the Pussycats). His wife, Josie DeCarlo, was the inspiration for Josie and the Pussycats. Someone asked DeCarlo who was the inspiration for Melody, he just laughed and said "I'm keeping that to myself."
One of his cartoons is also included.
The fat finger is not mine.
The caption was "Allan, are you trying to pull the wool over my eyes."

The original Delta Pride catfish processing plant in Indianola. At its peak consisted of dozens of stockholder farms covering 10s of thousands of acres, 5 plants, and processed 2 million lbs a day. Closed down in 2008, though the brand is owned by Consolidated Catfish Producers in Isola and is still used.

Delta was known for local Chinese owned groceries started by Chinese immigrants. Many still exist today. We have two here in Inverness, Pon and Co, and Wu’s Market. Cash only, no card.
