15$ min wage vs. People on govt assistance

The dems want to raise min wage to 15 bucks that the dems have been paying since Johnson presidency(?) Food stamps(snap), free medical, low income housing(projects), then Obama added to the code to add ,free cell phones, internet etc etc....
Here is the question....
If the dems raise the mw to 15 bucks...that about 29k a yr on a 40 hour work week times 12 months....would this figure bring out every person who works for this amount and receives govt assistance to "NO LONGER" be eligible for get snap, medical etc....? This amount would certainly put them out of range. Aren't the dems cutting their little stash of "lazy i don't wanna work" voters balls off? Lol

In theory, yes. In actuality, no. The dems will continue to support welfare, it will be revised for adjustments

15 x 40 = $600 per week
52 weeks in a year
600 x 52 = $31,200 per year

That was the only reason I could come up with. So basically higher taxes and hit small businesses(millions of americans) where it hurts...

I stand corrected i meant to say 28,800
15 × 40
600 × 4
2400 × 12
28800?
I don't do math ... lol

No because many of those jobs will be lost and those that remain will require skills not found among government dependents.

Hourly wage x 2080 is how you calculate for a full time employee

Plus social security and unemployment tax, right? At least on the delta.

Boston Dynamics stock is going to soar if this comes to pass.

My point was these people losing their govt assistance and having to buy health insurance, own rent and their own groceries, quality of life is less lol and no more netflix and chill all day or all night and they get pissed and flip to gop?

Actually its just a sinister plan to get poor people off of welfare.

If the minimum wage is raised to $15 there isn't going to be many people working 40 hours a week at that wage. It's going to be a bunch of 15 hour a week workers.
Raising the minimum wage will not only hurt businesses.. it'll hurt workers because they won't get as many hours. So the old 40 hours at their $7.25 wage might end up being the same or even MORE than their new $15 wage for only 15 hours.

Everything the left does regarding govt assistance and this min wage garbage is to expand the government dependent class, they know it’s not sustainable and they don’t care.
It’s simply another way to control the population by eventually leaving people with no where to turn for survival except for the government. Progressives are too brainwashed to see it or even attempt to understand the concept.

This might even be an unstated goal. U3 unemployment goes down along with a deceased labor force participation rate. Congress, Wall Street, low skilled labor and marginally attached workers are all happy while the middle tax pays the burden through taxes and COL increases.

$32,000/yr puts you in the top 1% wage bracket of everyone on earth.

At $15 an hr they would lose their free Molina (medicaid) gov't insurance here in Washington State.

many many jobs will be lost. The unemployment pool and welfare pool will actually be expanded, while completely killing small businesses.
