Looks like Powell caught a break. He was arrested in Utah, and the magistrate judge is a former PD.

The post I responded to said he was in jail. Is he in jail? No. He stands accused of killing 2. Of course he had a bail req. He probably walks based on self defense.

Your not 5, nor is your understanding.
I haven’t looked them all up, but . . .
Most of those charged are pulling misdemeanors. It’s very unusual to be kept in jail on low level charges.
Some of the more notable ones — podium man — have deep ties to their community and are not a flight risk. They got released without bond.
Best I can tell, the only ones charged and still in jail are those who brought bombs in their cars. They aren’t even charged with going into the Capitol.
If they ever do catch the person(s) who hit the cop with the fire extinguisher (IF that’s what happened) they won’t get out, bail or no, or it will be an extremely high bail.
