Kenner Seafood Restaurant...

Last night we ordered from Kenner Seafood via DoorDash. Mainly tried it because TulaneLSU has mentioned it several times and we were craving fried seafood.
The menu is huge and they offer fried, boiled or broiled seafood. For fish, you can choose catfish, flounder, redfish or trout. This is very unusual and I appreciated it. They also offer Italian staples and I would like to try that another time.
We had the fried artichoke hearts appetizer. It came with marinara dipping sauce, and they were perfectly fried. The only ones I have had better are the ones from Two Tony’s at Westend. However, those came out freshly fried as I was at the restaurant. These, being delivered, lost a little of their crunchiness.
Wife had the Stuffed Shrimp and gave me one. It was very good, not great. I had the platter of fried trout/fried shrimp. It was fantastic!
The trout was fresh and it was a very large filet. The shrimp were medium sized, perfectly fried and well seasoned. All of the food was properly cooked and not greasy or soggy at all.
Overall, we enjoyed it and will order from or go there again. This rest is well above average.

It’s always my go to for seafood. Had the shrimp poboy and seafood gumbo from there today for lunch actually. Good as always.

You should also give The Catch in Metry a try. The Gumbo is fantastic.
Shrimp, crawfish and huge chunks of crabmeat. Add oysters for $2. One of the guys I was with said the fried shrimp was excellent too.

I love Kenner Seafood. It’s as good as it gets as far as an all around seafood place goes.

Used to frequent that place when I worked in Kenner.

I rank their Fried Shrimp Po-boy as high as any other I have eaten in my life. They use popcorn shrimp (I would much rather than huge arse shrimp on a po-boy) and it is so loaded you have to keep stuffing them back in and still end up with a pile on the plate after.
