I left the GOP about 5 years ago because of the unity that they have with the Dems. For decades they played in public as polar opposites but behind closed doors, they really stood for the same things; a bigger more oppressive federal government, insane amounts of spending, and trashing our Bill of Rights. I thought my home was the LP National party but after being in it for a year, I quickly found out that those guys care more about saying, "We are not Republicans" than they do about standing for freedom. If you are a liberty loving conservative that values the Bill of Rights and the principles of limited government, which was the dream of the founders, you're like me... politically homeless.

I've heard mention of a supposed "Patriot Party".....anyone know about them?

Did the same about the same time. Registered Republican in '88 and voted straight GOP for years and years until McCain, and then Romney when I voted Libertarian. Disliked Trump so I did the same in 2016.*

The GOP has been useless for a while now. I want no part of run of the mill Republicans, so it's nice of them to want to get rid of folks like me I guess.

* Excitedly voted for Trump in 2020 though. He earned my vote.
