Where did these fever/mask detectors come from?

Saw one at the entrance of a John Deere dealership today. It’s a stand with a camera and a screen on it where you have to face it and it checks your temp, checks that you have a mask and supposedly has facial recognition. I gave it the bird as I walked by without looking. frick that shite. How long before those are used to send your info to law enforcement to have citations mailed to you or put on a no fly list? fricking dystopian bullshite

That's exactly what this model does. It's totally automated with facial recognition software. BTW, you giving them the bird will probably double your fine. Be sure to check your mailbox on a daily basis!

I was at the grocery store tonight. The first time I saw a big stand-alone sign telling customers they must wear masks.
I wasn't the only one without one. It was like a mass, beautiful rebellion. Lots of people not giving a frick.
I think there are a LOT of pissed off people. More than any of us know.

Be just terrible if that's one of the places my neighbor's family own.
Hate to have to start taking pictures of his family running around maskless and holding maskless kids parties like they've been doing. Especially since last year they BIG into the Mardi Gras scene holding and attending parties and such.
Really be a shame to post said pics so his employees and customers could see they don't follow any masking guidelines whatsoever but require it of everyone else.
