I'm going a head and replacing the plugs and coil over plugs. If that doesn't fix it, I'll have the drill nearby for the intercooler.

I would go with the ford motorcraft platinum plugs when you change them. I changed them out on my 2012 and made a difference. I was getting a little miss as well. Sometimes the plug gaps get out of whack so this should solve your problem. I also drained my intercooler when I was having the problem but only had maybe had a couple of tablespoons of oil in it, nothing like some of the stories I read on the F150 Forums. There is also a sensor on top of the manifold that may need cleaning. Other than that, I traded it in with 68K but only because I wanted to upgrade to the '15 body style.
