The "problem" with BTC is it is so far a horrible currency. The majority of people that own BTC keep it as an "investment" and the volatility makes it near useless for the average person to use as currency. If you leave your house to buy a new set of tires for $1000 and you have $1000 in BTC when you leave your house it could be $950 by the time you step up to the counter to pay your bill.

I mean in the end a dollar is just a thin piece of paper.
.its crazy to me that it's 2021 and their are still people who don't have the smallest idea on what bitcoin or other cryptocurrency are and why someone may value them.
How out of touch with reality do you have to be? That's like saying stocks are nothing but worthless paper because even if you technically own a very small percentage of the company you can so anything with it.
Let's say you want have 220 million in gold and you need to transport to market or across country....do you realize how much that would cost and how unfeasible it is?
Or you could send that same amount of wealth to somewhere instantly or convert to usd in a fdic insured USA bank. Your choice.
