Let’s examine:

Only 39 years old, good NFL and college experience. Was LB coach at Mississippi State in 2018. Worked under Robert Saleh with the 49ers along with Jeff Hafley who brought him to Boston College.

Got his first break under Greg Schiano at Rutgers and then with the Buccaneers.

Primarily coaches LB, which would fit our needs. Doesn’t seem to be tied to any particular region as he’s originally from the Congo.

I would love to go this kinda route but it feels like with O already going young with the OC hire he might want a more experienced guy to lean on for DC

Don’t even care tbh just get a good one

His pedigree is so damn strong, feels like he’s on the verge of being a star. Doesn’t seem like a short term guy like Freeman either.

I agree tho, feels a little too out the box for Ed.

Interesting that he didn't coach LBs last year. He must've really been fully running the defense and not Hafley.

This. It feels like an opportunity to get him a year before he becomes the hottest name to move up on the defensive side of the ball. Now is the time to get him for slightly less and lock him in for a few years with pay raises to match his value over time.

Yea i like Lukabu. Still think Arnett is the cream of the crop out of those left though.

I would take either of those two and run like I stole something.

I do too.

Arnett has already showed he can do it in the sec.

He had to stop teams while leach was running the air raid on the other side.

Arnett coaches linebackers and learned under rocky long.
Raymond could have the secondary

Or just wait for Texas to fire Chris Ash and hire him as the safeties coach.

He will get a nice buyout.

Good find, DBG. I had never heard of him, and I highly doubt anyone else on this board has, other than you. Looks like someone they should at least talk to. And they probably will. I suspect Derek follows these threads and gets back to Orgeron. And no, I'm not kidding.

Would love it. MSU was pretty salty on defense while he was there.

Let’s hope his agent is smart enough to reach out to LSU on his behalf!

My apologies. I haven't spent much time on this board I had never heard of him, but he sounds impressive.

People took note when they gave Clemson so much trouble this year. I know Sunshine was out that game, but DJ U didn’t suck and wasn’t the reason they struggled so badly for a 2 1/2 quarters. BC just played a hell of a game against a much more talented team.
