Their actions are the catalyst of the anger and outrage over the election, millions believe was not legitimate.
And they believe that because an egomaniac who can't handle losing with dignity has lied to them about voter fraud over and over again since his election day loss.
The GOP candidate has won the popular vote once since 1988. That's 7/8 presidential elections in which the democratic candidate has won the popular vote. And if GWB hadn't managed the electoral college vote in 2000 and been the incumbent in 2004, it probably would be 8/8 democratic. Given that, why is it so frickin' surprising that the democratic candidate won? The democratic candidate has received the most votes in all but one election over the last 28 years.
Trump lost by about 3,000,000 votes in 2016. After four years of pissing off a lot of people and motivating his opponents, he lost by 7,000,000 votes in 2020 - and the electoral college too. That's not surprising at all.
If anyone should feel disenfranchised, it's democratic voters in 2000 and 2016. In those elections, the collective voice of the people was ripped away by a controversial process that gives undue power to voters in swing states. I can only imagine how pissed off people here would be if Trump had won this election (by any margin, much less 7,000,000 votes) and had it stripped away by some back room voting in the electoral college. That's happened to the democrats twice in the last 20 years.
Trump did not win this election in any shape, form, or fashion. The polls leading up to the election favored Biden, the popular vote favored Biden, and the electoral college favored Biden - all by wide margins.
I'm not here to argue the politics of who's right and who's wrong about whatever issues you care about. It's irrelevant. The bottom line is you lost to a political party with a broader base and plenty of motivation.

You're indoctrinated deeply.
You don't comprehend "states" or the electoral college...
You want mob rule...that's your argument
Try to understand this board is full of people who have raised children and paid taxes for 30 , 40, 50 years...
You don't know what you don't know...

Motivation to plunge into full blown socialism? Biden hid in his basement for almost a year. When he did emerge he couldn’t put 2 coherent sentences together. Then he picks the most unpopular Democratic candidate in the primaries as his running mate. Meanwhile Trump is holding multiple rallies a day with tens of thousands of enthusiastic people. It does not pass the eye test!
