Is this confirmed? I watched this kid grow up in Harahan, and he became quite a ballplayer. If true, this is a big pickup, as he can knock the ball around and can play a lot of positions. What are his draft prospects?

I agree - don't see him getting drafted high enough for LSU to lose him. Good pick up!

Not sure how old you are, but did you ever get to see Xavier Paul play? That kid was on another level when he was younger.

I've known Mason since he was born. His dad and I were in each other's weddings. A great ballplayer, and even better person. Also, Rippner's best friend.

Yeah, I didn't play against him in high school. I saw him play a few times in high school. But I played against him a couple of times when we were younger in All Stars. He was hitting bombs pretty much every time he was up to bat during that time.

yeah, ive heard some crazy stories about him from when he was younger. he was crazy good...he's in AAA Las Vegas now...the Manny trade may keep in in AAA a little longer than expected. HE was supposed to get called up when the rosters expand

I'm not going to hijack this thread anymore. But the Northshore had a few good players. Mandeville had this kid that they called Tiger (?) I believe and he was bringing the heat right before high school. Didn't follow him through high school though. Anyone have any idea who that is, he would have been about the same age as XP or maybe a year younger.
