We would've won this game if SVG had challenged the ghost Oladipo foul

Obviously this loss is still partially to blame on the team, but SVG has to challenge that ghost foul. As soon as Oladipo went to the line I knew they were going on a run.

Terrible game management at the end, but I expect SVG will take responsibility. If Uncle Al were still the coach we'd be 2-5 and lost 4 games like we just did. We will build off this loss and this will be a defining moment in our season.

They don’t overturn anything. It’s like NFL PI

Same type of situation with the timeout at the end. Two of a few boneheaded misses by Stan. We're still 4-3 to start the year which I would've 100% taken if you had asked me last season.

It’s all apart of SVGs plan.

Final record: 69-3

Or had he called a timeout to advance the ball.

This is where I am. Most here thought 5-5 to start was pretty good. We're on track to start 6-4. Tough loss but we gucci

Exactly, esp since we were having trouble bringing ball up all night

I think the ability to close out games is something we've already shown we're better at this year. There will be a couple games we lose this season that will have us dumbfounded.

But it's not just the team that will make mistakes and SVG and the players will better themselves from here. They have a lot to work on, but I don't doubt this team's drive or motivation to win at all.

SVG just admitted a lot of bad game coaching decisions. Says he stuck with riding Ingram's isos too long, needs to have the ball in the best player's hands though.

Losers blame the refs.

Blame JJ for sucking.
Blame Lonzo for turning it over instead of calling timeout.
Blame BI for missing way too many shots the last 3 minutes.
Blame SVG.

I respect that honesty. It’s hard to admit that your coaching philosophy cost the game. But perhaps it did. Zion needed a couple more touches in OT to seal the win.

I would agree if there was any contact at all, but there was clear footage that showed there was NO contact...I really think that call gets overturned if reviewed.

Easiest call of the night and he blew it. I was stunned that he did not call timeout. It is coaching 101. Why bring the ball in on your own baseline and subject the players to an expected press (with no other players in the backcourt to help out). Terrible end of game coaching by SVG and he had done it in a few games.
