He was going to be the Colts OC before McDaniels backed out of the HC job. So they had no problem hiring him with no experience and you dont think he good enough for LSU?

McDaniels would ultimately have been the mind behind that offense though.

I’m not saying the other poster is correct but claiming that because he was going to be brought in by a guy who would essentially act as his own OC, is not a strong argument.

McDaniels was gonna be the play caller.

Just like Sean Payton, Andy Reid, Matt LaFleur, Doug Pederson, Kyle Shanahan, etc
