Hopefully, he will be able to slow the flow of top talent out of Texas to Bama.

If it wasn't coming to BR, then we surely didn't need it going to Bama.

If he sets up in Texas what Saban did in Bama, damn right he can...Kirby took that “system” to Georgia and has pulled it off as well...

I mean yes and no. Hopefully it hurts Bama a little bit but Saban is the fricking terminator. Until he doesn’t - I fully expect him to reload and continue his dominance

More likely to pull the guys from Texas that go to schools like LSU and UGA more so than BAMA. May have helped with the OL twins this year since they were UT legacies.

Texas currently has 1 of the top 20 recruits out of Texas. Can’t do much worse

Unfortunate for who?

I'm not understanding what it matters if Ewers winds up at Ohio St or Texas.

I guess I could understand not wanting Texas to have success, because we (LSU) recruit Texas so well. That might make sense I suppose.

I have to disagree. Alabama will always cherry pick, if not Texas then somewhere else. I think it is to our advantage if Texas and A&M both suck. We don't need Texas, A&M and Alabama trumping us in that state.

They can only sign 25 just like everyone else. If he gets them rolling though it will impact Oklahoma, A&M, us, and Bama all to some degree. Likely in that order.

Yeah, KS hasn't won shite, but he sure has amassed a lot of talent in Athens that could have been cherry picked to Bama or OSU or Clemson.

I hope he can at least muddy the water.

In previous years, we had a nice pipeline into North Shore HS in Houston. Last year, they had Zach Evans as the #1 RB in the country last year and he did it behind two huge arse road graders, Damien George and Jaeden Roberts. I have no idea how hard we pursued them, but we offered them both. George was a 3 star project at OT last class and Roberts is a 4 star guard this class. He was committed to Auburn until Gus was fired. Bama signed them both, as what looks like afterthoughts.

While losing Evans looks to have been addition by subtraction, missing on both George and Roberts is indicative of the gap between us and Alabama.

It’ll hurt aTm more than it hurts Bama.

Not that I mind hurting aTm, as a consolation prize.

Sark needs to go ahead and give Quinn Ewers everything he needs and wants at Texas.

Ewers is Sarks ladder out of that crater in Austin
