If he life was based on being a cheerleader at UT and that was it she didn't have a life anyway. I agree, it is indeed fricked up and I doubt UT holds other students to the same standard and that is fricked up....but actions have consequences, regardless of how stupid we are when we do them. Using a well known racial slur in a public forum for posterity is liable to come back to haunt you. The girl probably never even thought of it in those terms.....it is a common usage amongst young people, especially black people but I hear white kids using it when they are alone in the same manner.....it is akin to frick in the 1970s....shocking and rebellious. But it also is well known to be one of a few words that are likely to cause a white person trouble should they use it.....she could very well be unaware of that, depending on her background etc, but it makes no difference....she was not entitled to be a student at UT and as fricked up as it is UT is entitled to decide they do not want her about the place. Hopefully the young lady comes out relatively unscathed....if she doesn't its her decision, no one is going to cancel her but her....
