ESPN Ranks 2019 LSU as the best CFP Era team

I was glad to see it, but I really think it's the best CFB team of all time. For perspective, here are the games of note in that run:

Scored 65 on NW St then 66 on Vandy in less than a week.

Beat Florida by 2 TDs.

Won at Bryant Denny.

Ran off 58, 56, and 50 at Ole Miss, then home against Arky and A&M.

Murdered then #4 Georgia after a 50-7 win over A&M.

Murdered then #4 Oklahoma. Literally, ran them off the field.

Murdered #3 Clemson.

The only knock will ever be the points that the defense gave up. But, if you watched the games, you would realize that the defense really didn't even kick it into gear unless they had to. That defense was nails when it mattered.

bullshite. The SEC was as weak as it has ever been this season. Go back and look at your schedule and the records of the teams you played an how bad they actually were. TAM is average compared to other teams that have been ranked where they are right now. Georgia was pedestrian and Florida lost to us. Hell you may not even beat Clemson. Bama played one good QB this year in Trask.

Against AU in the mud. Stupid play calling at the goaline and in short yardage trying to ram into their DTs. Auburn only scored 2 TDs, one in the first half on a 20 yd drive following a muffed punt and one with 2 minutes to go with LSU up by double digits and playing in prevent. On a dry field, LSU wins by 14+. But even still, AU was a top 10 team and played very well on defense.

That Alabama team with Tua was likely a top 5 CFP era team. That was the game of the year and, I believe that at that moment in time, those were the two best teams in college football. Bama still needed a punt return TD, and long trick play TD and LSU to be in press man coverage for an 85 yard bomb with a minute left just to keep the score respectable. Three flukey TDs and still lost. Insane.
