Totally agree. His record in the NFL makes it clear that when he doesn’t have a far superior roster, or the threat of benching kids, thus ruining their potential livelihood, that he is in reality, a slightly above average coach.

i can’t think of one college coach who tested the coaching waters in the nfl and succeeded long term

spin it the other way and tell me then why nfl coaches don’t succeed in the college ranks? they’re supposedly the best coaches but still have trouble winning it all in the FBS

best opportunity to win championships is getting the best players and that’s it

everyone saying he’s not that great of a game day coach is just grasping for straws...i hear that about every coach

Keep telling yourself that, dummy. Saban is a great recruiter, a great game day coach, a great executive leader, a great organizer of practices, a great academic councilor, and a great public relations manager.
