Why don’t we run hurry up offense more often?

It seems like anytime we have drew and we need to score at the end of the half or game we put ourselves in good position

Doesn't give Sean the ability to flex that big brain of his and run a HB toss to the weak side.

ETA: Seriously, it's probably a great idea to move a little quicker a few times per game outside of the final 2 minutes.

Bc it limits substitutions and the different personnel we can run, which is a huge part of Payton’s scheme

I think that often, but then have to remind myself that defensive strategies are a little different with a lead defending the 2-minute vs. earlier in the ball game.

I feel like I see them run some hurry up every once in a while and is usually a quick 3 and out

Yesterday the receiving options couldn't run the correct routes out the huddle so they were really gonna blow hurry up.

When your defense is playing 92 snaps and your offense is 1 for 11 in third down conversions, you don't speed up to another punt.

If you notice, most teams go "jet" offense after a first down or two. When three and out is your thing, you don't go hurry up and punt.

You'll gas your o-line, you'll start going three and out, and then you'll gas your defense.

This is the greater majority of NFL games. At the end of a half or game, the defense keeps everything in front of them. They try to limit the big plays. Yes we score near first half but it’s often field goals across the nfl because teams don’t want to give up the big play. Also, hence “garbage time.”
