It's going to be hard to bench Max.

The kid saved a losing season and helped a freshman WR break records doing it.

Max Johnson will be LSU's version of Kelly Bryant. And Nussmeier will be Trevor Lawrence.

The season is over. A lot can happen between now and the start of next season

I would make him the leader in the clubhouse going in to spring.

Myles is the presumed starter. Go back and look at his stats. #ABA

There should be an open competition but Brennan should have the edge at starter and his job to lose. In my opinion it is best "for the program" that Brennan win the job. Only because if Max wins then I believe both Brennan and TJ will transfer leaving a true freshman as backup. If Brennan wins then I believe max will stay as he will be the heir apparent and give Nuss another year to mature or compete for starter. But if max wins the position then so be it and let the chips fall where they may.

He played well enough to have earned equal snaps in spring ball.

I know the D gave up lots of yardage and lots of points, but without their takeaways we probably don’t win either of our last two games.

5-5 is not acceptable for LSU football

It's going to be hard to bench a healthy Myles.

Well...he just got benched like the rest of the qb's. Season is over.

Competition for next has started.

It really wont be. And he is the son of a QB, he will understand. That being said, we will still see him next year.

I agree. He looks so much better than what we saw from Brennan and Finley. IMO, there's no QB competition next year, unless we want to risk losing Johnson. For a true freshman, he was incredible!

I disagree. Brennan was lighting the score board up before he got hurt. Looked Burrow-esque.

That said, I think Brennan starts 2021 and is potentially a first round draft pick. That sets the program up for the foreseeable future at the position. You would have back to back first round QBs with some studs waiting their turn. That is how to build a perennial championship team like Clemson and Bama have done.

He has the young receivers around him also whom Myles hasn’t worked with. Should be open competition but it Brennan won’t get the job the he should get enough heads up to transfer. That’s only fair.
