How long after the game do you think O waits to make staff changes?

It would benefit him to go ahead and make his moves before the playoff and bowl teams finish the season wouldn’t it? I just can’t imagine he can keep Pelini on even by if the defense plays good tomorrow so why not make the move so you have the early jump on finding a replacement?

I think you’re gonna be royally disappointed. Doubt anyone gets canned.

Prepare to be butt hurt when Pelini comes back and E doesn’t retire. Y’all frickers want change just for change like always. They both should get the opportunity to coach next year due to everything surrounding this year.

12 months.

Nobody should be fired, IMO.
I may change my mind after tomorrow's game.

Unlike the previous posters, I'm sure some changes are coming. No way that with the uproar of this season that it doesn't happen. Plus way too much smoke on all of the different message boards.

With that said, I don't know that I would expect it to happen fast. It almost never does despite fans wanting it that way. Plus, does LSU want to be the school to fire people the week of Christmas?

Changes are coming. Just don't expect anything to be announced unless -

The school announces Coach E's retirement

Or another school announces they've hired one of our coaches (any of our coaches)

Or - There is an announcement that our new "insert position here" coach has been hired.

What I am saying is ... there isn't going to be a press release Sunday or Monday saying "We thank Coach so-and-so for his contribution but)

So....some of you guys who think you need to know right now, you are going to be struggling. Coach O will take his time in hiring the right people (we hope).

And there may be some guys leave for other opportunities.

I think Pelini will most likely stay.
I dont think we should keep Ensminger but they arent going off my opinion so he will stay as well unfortunately.

I know everyone would love Brady back as OC but he's getting paid more at the moment. I dont think he should have left bc he really isnt doing anything special in the NFL except getting paid more.

Honestly at this point I think there are a lot of freaking maybes. Pelini is going to cost a fortune to can and he may be selling the admin on the notion that he needs "his guys" to make a successful transition to a 4-3. That may be true, but it should never have been this bad.

Maybe Bill Johnson goes, but we had a really good DL haul.

Cregg could be hanging by a thread because at this point his X's and O's aren't good and he is struggling to pull the Jimmys and Joes.

Linehan has ties to Nuss, but he's signed and I don't think he's a deal breaker. Anyway, if someone can explain how Linehan is value added I'd like to know.

Ensminger? TYFYS, but it's time to sip pina coladas on a beach somewhere.

O's fate is tied more to the Title IX mess than job performance at this point (JMHO). That being said, he's demonstrated a significant lack of focus and self control following the 2019 historic season. If you want sustained success you have to keep your eyes on the prize.

If E is going to retire, the best thing he can do is announce that immediately after the game. Days can be critical at this time with other head-coaches already having been canned and multiple schools making searches that can include OC's. That would be the best thing for E to do for his beloved LSU if that is his intention.

Nobody has ever seemed to fault E as a TE coach. Even if he's not ready to retire, take a real hard look at what is out there as concerns long term OC options. If all the stars line up for a grand slam hire, pull the trigger and make that move.

I'm on the fence on Pelini only because of the improvement the past two games. Other than the loss of Koht, most of the desired recruits have been maintained and brought in for his style of defense. Let that play out as appropriate. Otherwise, we could have another year of Spring affected by Covid affecting implementation of another new defensive scheme. Doing that now if we have three consecutive games of good defensive showings doesn't necessarily make sense.

Within a couple of weeks. He has to get rid of BP and have enough time to hire another one to show the defensive recruits in February that things are going to change on that side of the ball.

I’d guess right around a year.
