-I believe Gaye could benefit the most by returning.
-Deculus & Ingram I'm not sure about as well
-I saw the thread earlier about Cox could be returning, but I believe his stock is pretty high already
Also guys like Logan and Farrell I guess could depart from team but we have talent behind them.
Baskerville should stay as well.

Also hopefully guys like Arik, Apu, and Marcel Brooks as well could come back

Do we really take Brooks back? He'd count against our 25 and we still have the same issue with him that we had before, he doesn't really have a position. He's a skilled pass rusher in a safety's body.

would the NCAA allow for a "Covid Exception" to him counting against the 25 since it was a weird year and he is returning to the program he left?

I mean he is talented but I believe Damone should play Marcel's position from 2019.. Damone is big and fast and can rush the passer. He struggles at calling the Defense and reading/reacting.

Marcel is just weird to me because he was one of the ones going to the recruit section after we beat Bama in 2019 and telling them to come to LSU

Ya think? They guy had ONE great game (vs. MSU) and everyone on here anointed him a first round pick. Since that time he has been good for maybe one good play here or there, but certainly not consistently good enough to be a high draft pick.

I would imagine the analysis for them is have they maxed out their stock in college and thus, it's time to give a pro career a shot one way or the other. Or, is there anything to gain (relative to improving their draft stock) by coming back. My gut says Farrell is probably the only one that might seriously consider coming back. The rest are probably going to enter the draft and let the chips fall where they may on their pro career rather than getting another year older playing college ball.

I would LOVE to have Brooks back. IMO we should use him like Seattle uses Jamal Adams and have him play all over. However, I have not seen any hints that he would come back.. if anyone has a link, would be much appreciated.

That would be ideal except I think the issue with him at safety is that he can't cover his nose when he sneezes.

On second thought, he'd fit in with our current safeties so come on down Mr. Brooks.

Gaye and Cox should return for a bigger year and possibly a higher draft slot. Logan, Farrell, Deculus and Ingram I would expect will leave.

I really hope Deculus and Ingram return. It could really help the O-line and help them improve draft grade. Gaye definitely needs to come back. Cox would be great, but not sure he will.

Why would Brooks count towards the 25? Did he enter the portal? Sorry, but it has been crazy trying to keep up with everything this year.

He is currently enrolled at TCU.

Ingram is the only lineman that should foreseeably declare for the draft. The entirety of the LSU run game is predicated upon his playing in the game.

All those guys need to stay.

This is where the difference is between Alabama and LSU.

Thanks. I had forgotten about that. In that case I wouldn't take him back and use a spot on him. I would rather get someone we can have for a couple of years. Not someone who already quit on his teammates once.

Pressure wise Gaye has impressed at times this season
If he comes back another year and becomes a pass rusher and can add more sacks he could vault into first round

I can understand if Deculus is ready to give NFL a shot or try and make a roster, late round pick/free agent at best and may be better suited inside at G

Ingram is probably best G we have so flip a coin on him

Cox same thing flip a coin

Logan is most likely gone as well

Farrell could probably stay since he opted out and was planning to return anyway

I still don't know the rules on Brooks - would we have to free up a schollie for him - based on his production at TCU and lack of true position - I would not bring him back

Arik and Apu could come back for sure by just removing their names from portal or in Apu's case, not sure if Arik has even entered portal or not
If truly homesick don't see Arik back
I think Apu is probably a long shot anyway
