Given it is SWB and Murphy Paul, I am willing to guess they fricked up the firing procedure and the union will win in a dispute.
At which point the city will pay the officer to go away, like the two Sterling officers SWB had fired.

I am sure the civil service board or whatever it is called will reinstate him. I don’t know anything about how all this works and think the cops act like dicks half the time, but this firing stinks of political retaliation.

This is what the poster (I forget his name) that got fired uncovered. He was doing an audit and found a lot of things that needed answers. They found dirt on him on TD and axed him but not before he filed his report.
