She doesn't even have a Ph.D. It's an Ed.D. in educational leadership. A professional degree. While she's entitled to the "Dr." honorific prefix, to constantly reference it in anything other than a professional capacity is ridiculous. Her twitter handle is DrBiden for pete's sake.

Agreed, people who still automatically equate the Dr. Pre-fix with being a medical physician are likely not that bright.

The Dr. prefix means they received their doctorate in some random subject. They are supposed to be an expert in their subject area. It doesn't mean they can perform a surgery.
