Im interested in hearing about the big time QB's in the next recruiting class and what are our chances of getting them. Are there any big local prospects? Any stats comparible to my RP? Im sure this has been talked about already, but I have not seen it. Anyone got some links?

Sam Carter
Terrance Broadway
Conner Wood

We probably take one out of these three great QB prospects.

I think they both play in Texas, but I could be wrong.

Taylor Bullock - Catholic NI

Haven't seen him play yet but it's on my to do list. Sonny Shipp asked me about him this afternoon and so this is one of the things that is high on my list.

Sam Carter plays in Houston, TX. I don't know what school.

Connor Wood plays for Second Baptist in Dallas, Tx.

Wood is in some ways like Flynn, but probably with a little better arm. Pocket passer, good game manager. His ranking could be up in the air when the 2010 come out...

I have seen some people rank him as high as a 50 overall, but he had some things he needed to work on after the last camp he appeared at.

I don't know anymore than you on Carter. Ask me again next year and I can tell you what you want to know

he plays for sharpstown i believe-- joe addai's alma mater, and hes a katrina evacuee, so hes got some louisiana ties

if jordan jefferson wrestles the starting qb job by midseason as i believe he will, itll be awfully hard to convince one of these excellent QB recruits to come and sit behind JJ, shep, and chris garret..... i just dont see it happening unless carter bleeds purple and gold and is willing to wait

Yep, he's like a more physical and tad bit slower Russell Shepard with somewhat quirky mechanics. He doesn't have the greatest arm strength, but he's still young so that could change. He reminds a lot of people of a taller Joe Addai when he was at Sharpstown.

He'll push RS for top QB in the Houston area(and even Texas) this year.

Yea...I didn't say he would be the best, I just said he would push for it. I don't think anyone will out play RS this year.

He's probably a better passer I assume.

He was, but that'll probably change this year with RS working his arse off to get better. The offense he runs isn't as run oriented as Russell Shepard's was either.

Sam Carter's stats are also a little deceiving because a lot of his throws were on the run and pretty difficult. He's a great scrambler and actually shows some great maturity for his age by not taking off the second he feels pressure. If he works on his throwing motion and picks up some arm strength, he could be incredible.

I think we get one of the three both of the TX boys will be highly recruited. Carter should push for a 5 star and woods a 4 star. Broadway is good but should only be a 4 star. I like Broadway. But we will only get one if we are lucky.

Sam Carter plays for Houston Sharpstown. Very athletic with a good arm. Duel threat QB. If I am not mistaken he is the #1 QB in the state of Texas for 2010 at this point. From what I know he is a very good kid.

Connor Wood plays for 2nd Baptist out of Houston. Its a 3A private school that plays in TAPPS. Small school with small competition. However he has very good mechanicals, footwork, and is big with a big arm. It would be interesting to see how he would do on the 5A Texas level. He will dominate at his level. Good kid and good family.

There is another kid in Central Texas by the name of Cole Smith. He is 6'5", 220 lbs with a gun for an arm and is mobile. He did not play varsity as a soph but will start at the 5A level as a junior. Definitely someone to keep an eye on. I saw him throw a 75 yard strike over the summer.
