Sure, you can lock them up. That is if you can identify them, then get in touch with local authorities (because no US law enforcement agency is going to do anything), then convince them to actually do something. That rarely, if ever, happens. If/when it does, and even if an operation is shut down, it only takes a few days before they are back up and running in a new location with a new group of scammers.

There’s a couple YouTube channels I’ve recently found, Scammer Payback and Trilogy media, that have been collaborating on trying to confront the scammers in California after they get an address to send cash to instead of gift cards.

The problem is the trilogy media guys are fricking terrible at any kind of investigating and confronting so every time they confront someone nothing happens. They did confront one guy at his apartment in LA though.
