LSU fired Les Miles because 8-10 wins isn’t good enough. There is no reason with the resources that LSU has that they shouldn’t be in serious contention every single season. It should always be the expectation to maybe have a single loss & possibly two some years. Anything less is unacceptable.
If you want to put a number to it, LSU should finish NO lower than #10 year in and year out with a CFP appearance once every 2 seasons.
Oh and one more thing, LSU should absolutely under no circumstance EVER!!! get blown off the field by ANYONE!. There is way too much talent and access to resources to ever accept getting donkey punched.

Jcricket you are all the way on point!!
We have too much talent, top of the line facilities and top resources to ever get blowed out or embarrassed!! Some changes need to be made quick and fast!!
