No he is playing at the top of the 3pt line like he is trying to direct the offense. Run a god damn high and low for him. Wade needs to fix that.

they have 3 guys sitting under the goal every possession. There is no lane to go to the goal.

So send him to the high post and eat from there. He’s highly ineffective at the top of the key.

He’s not a finisher against size and he’s not a back to the basket player

He is a high post, single dribble penetrator

And he is playing like a 5'11 3rd string shooting guard

He doesn’t have much lift or suddenness in his game.

He is slippery and fluid inside

At least he used to be.

If he isn't that now, he is nothing.

He has 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Maybe that’s just who he is. 12-8-8 is a pretty good stat line

We were relying on him for inside scoring.

He seems to be turning it on now, so maybe he just needed to get his legs

Plus Days and Thomas had the hot hands, gotta get them the ball and he did a solid job of that. 9:1 assist-to-turnover ratio is damn good

Watford had 9 assists, 13 points on 7 shots, 4 offensive rebounds, 3 steals, a block and only 1 turnover.

Thats a really good stat line

He needed to penetrate more.

He was sitting on the perimeter too much for his skillset.

I stand by my OP, but he played much better late.

When you have Days and Thomas on fire, penetrating frees up the perimeter. . .forcing defenders to make decisions.

Days ended up having to penetrate to free up Thomas. If that was planned, it was odd.

That was the point I was making.
