If he tries it, and I fully expect he will, it will be decided (or likely thrown out) in the Supreme Court but not before historic lopsided blowout losses for the democrats in 2022.

There were discussions before the election; before the appointment of the most recent Supreme Court Justice, about expanding the total number of Justices. This is what was referred to as "packing the Court". Several in Congress openly called for it. So, you go from 9 to 11 or 13, or something along those lines, and appoint the ones you want so they vote the way you want.

There's no current law forbidding that.

and no, law enforcement is not going to just do as they're told and kick in citizens doors looking for legally owned forearms.
You can believe that if you want, and you can hope/pray you're right.

LEO's by nature of the job, tend not to care about other people's plights. Otherwise, think of all the sob stories that get told when you're getting a ticket... you usually get that ticket anyway. Those guys in Blue need to keep their jobs and income.

If you make something a felony, they're obligated to treat it as such. If you're suspected of running a meth lab or selling stolen goods, they have every right to come search your home and property once they get a warrant. There have been many raids for illegal firearms over the years.

"Suspicion"... that gets interesting. Go do an internet search of, say, Bobcat rentals, and see how many ads you get on that later. That's just the private companies, you know the Fed gov can and does track shite too. People posting here and other forums talking about it, people looking at Gunbroker or Buds, people ordering from SGammo or Targetsportsusa. Let's face it, most of us here have already been tagged.

I work with a bunch of LEO's , sheriff deputies, SPD, State Troopers, and none of them are even thinking about enforcement of such mandate. If you think otherwise then try to explain why Connecticut's version of these laws saw minimal compliance and zero LEO enforcement. If a bright blue state can't pull it off, forget about the red ones.

You act like LEO’s taking guns from citizens is like giving speeding tickets. I wouldn’t be a cop for any amount of money if they have to be gun grabbers . The idea of taking guns of people is bad idea. Pissing off hundreds people with major fire arms is not a smart idea . Especially when they drive their cop cars home .

This comment and others like it are ignorant.

LEO's are citizens first and foremost, you people trying to make LEO's out to be some kind of Nazi Gestapo force really don't know anything about what you're taking about. Most of you have bad opinions about LE because of your own doings and interacting with LE.

I'm not just hoping and prying, I kind of know a little about what I say. Now you can believe what you want.

Oh and just because you say something is a felony offence that wasn't previously doesn't make it one if the unconstitutional implementation of it is being challenged in courts.
