the issue is that once you start putting social/political messages on a field, then the door is open and can't be closed.

THen the SJWs will continue pushing and then you'll have sports infected with more and more social/political messages forever. And most sports fans don't want that.

Where does it end? Or does it ever end? And who gets to decide what messages are "appropriate" and which aren't? Can we put an "abortion is wrong" slogan on a football field? What about "build the wall"? Or "balance the budget"?

You see, it's dangerous to even start this kind of stuff, because now there will be pressure for it to continue next year, and who gets to decide what messages get advanced.

We're bombarded with social/political messages at every turn. We just want sports. Real simple.
