i know you have lived all over. My point is that aruguably the originators of hot dogs have it wrong, but we have it right? I would say the same thing about gumbo served in NYC, they would probably not do it right.....and they don't, it's horrible.

Maybe...but mustard is universal, and I consider that to be the hot dog standard.

You are correct...the gumbo I had in Barstow, Cali is still the worst gumbo I have ever attempted to eat

Strangely enough, the best cajun food I have had was in Alabama. It was owned by a Louisiana couple who owned a restraunt outside of Oxford, Al...great food.
