Because he’s cocky.

I’ll point again:

Shortened training camp. Crazy short offseason.

No summer league. No conditioning program.

Covid protocols. Possibly no GLeague.

Rookies are going to be almost entirely worthless this year. Maybe Hampton will be GREAT.

But it was a shrewd move to get a future pick in this environment

How many guys in the 20s pan out in a good draft? Y’all relax

I mean....

Malik Beasley
Caris Lavert
Pascal Siakam
Dejounte Murray
John Collins(19)
Jarrett Allen
OG Anunoby
Kyle Kuzma
Derrick White
Josh Hart

We’re all in the 20’s in 16 and 17 drafts(20’s tend to take longer to develop but there is definitely talent to be had, and good talent).

Denver trade better be part of some grand trade that has MJP or Grant and Harris in it plus 1st rd. picks (as if we need anymore really). Otherwise, Griff has botched the post Jrue era.

Honestly, what the frick are you talking about?

Nuggets are sending a future protected 1st to New Orleans, league source says, for R.J. Hampton.

Probably top 10 protection if I had to guess.

Cool you named a few guys. And some of these guys will be good. But most will be bums. And this is a completely different offseason.

Yeah. Trying to move away from guards and get wings. I was thinking maybe shed salary for Denver. Threw in a future 1st.

look at it this way
they flipped a bucks pick for a Denver pick
that’s a win right there

2021 and 2022 drafts will be exponentially better than this one

First-round pick headed New Orleans’ way from Denver is set to be deeper in the future, source says - Pels may not see it until 2023 at the earliest.

You realize that if you throw in others like Korkmoz that is a nearly 50% hit rate over a 3 year development horizon across those two seasons correct?

Depending on the protection I’m fine with the move, but let’s not reflexively gaslight to defend everything Griff does. There is risk in everything and so far griff’s draft history is still mixed until he proves out with some of these picks.
