You’ll get there. I HIGHLY recommend the Couch 2 5K app. I started it in August of last year at 45. This year I have set PRs in both 5&10Ks. Oh yeah, I’ve lost 20 lbs in that time frame.

I second the couch to 5k app. I hated running before and for some reason or another each week became a goal to complete and made it exciting. I’m now on to couch to 25k. After only a year. I can run for 1 hour nonstop (albeit a slow pace 12min/mile) with no issues
