Numbnuts in the Ticket Office

For a multi-million dollar operation, the ticket office sucks. Everytime you deal with them, no one knows anything. But that's not the point. Look at the back of your season tickets. We've incorrectly labeled the endzones - got them reversed.
Oh, well. We had a 50/50 chance if we were blindfolded, but had our eyes open and got it wrong.
Inept.

The ticket office is part of the AD, isn't it? That's all that needs to be said. Major overhaul needed. Chronic incompetency at all levels of the LSU AD. E-mail Alleva with your complaints. I'm sure he'd like to know about things like this........

It's mostly student workers who answer the phones and work the ticket window. You can just sense the "I don't give a shite" attitude in their voice when you call. Sometimes you get someone worth the oxygen he's using, but that's rare.

student workers
There is the problem. Student workers who do not give a flip dealing with thousands of dollars of other peoples money. The value of these tickets go way beyond that.
I had to settle an issue last year with the ticket office and was told three different things by three different people. Try getting a manager on the phone. 9/10 times they will tell you they are out.

sounds like none of you are worth the oxgyen bitching about it on a message board with a pseudo-name you hide behind...go do your job you get paid to do and they'll do theirs

the others on here are spoken like true assholes too...there's balance
I don't care if people think I'm dumb for being a student, but I'll take care of my business like they should take care of theirs...seems as though they need to act their age, not me bow down to my "elders"

I used to be a student worker (LSU bookstore), and I can tell you I didn't give a shite. Spent many an afternoon with my co-workers downstairs playing pinball.
But as bad as the student workers were, nothing matched the incompetence and outright laziness of many of those non-students employed by the state.

At my job when I give one of my customers the wrong information, or if I act like I don't give a shite about what kind of problem one of my customers has, or f*ck anything else up in general...I'm held accountable for it. I think thats all people are saying.

isn't the ticket office just a bunch of lame arse student workers who couldn't tell you which way is up

I went to pick up my tickets for tulane last year and they were looking for them for 30 minutes. They brought two "managers" out and these guys looked no older than me(23). They told me I would have to pick up my tickets at the superdome before the game because they misplaced them. I was a little aggravated so to make it up to me they offered to switch my seats to the plaza level. I said ok, then they said I'd need to pay the difference in the cost of the seats, I was like what the hell. They didn't really try to make up for anything. I said nevermind I'll just get the tickets at the dome.

And now we see the attitudes of the future of America !! We pay lots of money for tickets so these student workers can have a job and guess who will probably default on the student loan ??
Yep, we get to pay for that too

Are you that naive to think that the LSU ticket office is perfect? They are incompetent at best. Just look at how they handle student ticket situations. They wait so long to let students know if they get road tickets to the point where it is damn near impossible to have reservations in these cities. The way they give tickets out to students is beyond absurd (i.e. the BCS championship fiasco). They really need to get a clue over there.

Last year I got a notice that my ticket invoice had not been paid and was late (my oversight). I called them and one of the ticket jockeys told me that if it was not paid by the next day, I would lose my tickets. I offered to put it on my card but he said that their credit card service was not working at the time.
I drove to BR from Mandeville, paid the invoice and related the story to the guy (kid) at the window. He went and got Mr. Broussard (ticket manager) who apologized and said that I still had plenty of time to pay, shouldn't have made the trip, and did I know who I talked to. I did not. SORRY!
Yes, they are inept.

So let me get this straight. They are inept. Last I checked ivoices need to be paid by May 31 every year. Maybe if you would pay your damn bill on time you would not have to rely on other people.
The person in the ticket office was wrong just like you were wrong for forgeting to pay your bill on time. As far as I'm concerned If your tickets are not paid on time they should go to the next person on the waiting list.
I know the ticket office is not perfect but it is mostly student workers and a few full time employess trying to keep every one happy.

Joe Alleva laid off many of the non-student workers with college degrees and replaced them with student workers because he did not want to spend the money on competent workers.
Most of the graduates working there were working 60-70 hours a week during football season. Since my understanding is that student workers can work 20 hours a week max, it takes 3-4 student workers to do the job of 1 graduate. I don't see how 4 students can keep organized enough to keep up with LSU football tickets, especially when some just don't show back up to work because they don't get the football games off.
