Devon Manuel OT 2021 *Arkansas Commit*

Plays at Beau Chene High. He’s only a 3 star but has offers from Arkansas and Texas A&M and Michigan St. A&M constantly puts out great offensive tackles and Arkansas typically has good O-Linemen. We always miss on our offensive line targets. How many guys have we’ve seen in Louisiana that were low rated offensive lineman and ended up as studs for other schools?
He’s fricking 6’8 300 lbs! That’s potential you can not pass up for an offensive tackle. That’s what you call a dancing bear. If he has an offer from A&M as an Offensive Tackle, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t have one from LSU.
Also plays basketball, so the athleticism is there.

Can't offer this kid, because if we did, we wouldn't be able to whiff on some 5-start from BFE.

There's still plenty of time and anything can happen in recruiting. Cushenberry didn't get his offer till very late in the process.
That all being said, because A&M offers a LA OL doesnt automatically mean we should offer him. First off they havent had an OT drafted the past 4 years. You may be remembering a little while back when they were relevant with OTs being picked, but it hasnt been recently at all. In fact they've had just 2 total offensive linemen selected in the draft in the past 4 drafts. The only recent-ish OL A&M has gotten from Louisiana is Colton Prater and let me tell you he was absolutely no loss for us
Sam Pittman offering him says way more to me, he's one of the greatest OL coaches ever.

This is where I went to school and to say I was shocked when I saw they had a kid committed to an SEC is an understatement. The only person from there to do anything athletically was Walter Davis

This kid might end up great and he might earn an offer but the “if he has an A&M offer he should have a LSU offer” statement is one of the dumbest things ever posted in this site. Congratulations!

Seems like a guy we'd take a flyer on later in the process if we miss out on others. But you have to at least love the size you'd have to work with.

If we had him committed people on this thread would complain about him as a 3* and ranked 989, #86 OT you can’t win in these in discussions.

Throwing the "L" up, I see.

Have never seen him play, but first player that comes to mind is Jerald Hawkins (who I believe still might be in NFL). Impressive measurables and looks like could be a late bloomer based on his HS and COVID interruptions. If he has offer from Pittman, I trust that eval.

This is what intrigues me.
We should shadow Pittmans OL recruiting

Pittman has Arkansas playing better than LSU tight now FYI. It's arrogant attitudes like yours that show the low football IQ of many of our fans.

Pittman is a stud O-line coach. He can identify talent.
At Georgia, Pittman garnered a reputation as "one of the best recruiters and offensive line coaches in the SEC. In his second season, Georgia won the SEC Championship Game and reached the College Football Playoff National Championship. That was the first of three consecutive Southeastern Conference East Division titles for Georgia from 2017 to 2019. Pittman's 2018 line was named a finalist for the Joe Moore Award for the best offensive line in college football.

Pittman was a stud at Arkansas as OL coach too. He built some amazing OLines for Bielema to work with, after he left things cam crashing down for Bielema rather quickly as Pittman's OL guys he coached left and their OL went into the shitter.

Wait what?
I literally said we should shadow his OL recruiting. He's an all time great OL coach and recruiter. Let's talk about your low IQ
