We should grab a young guy or someone currently having success, not that I should even have to say that or trust Orgeron to do so. The game is changing so fast it’s unrealistic to hire a big name from even 5-6 years ago and expect them to be moderately successful. Gotta get someone who understands modern offenses and how to stop them

You have to remove Bo!

Given the loss in Revenue, how will LSU remove bo that is guaranteed a remaining $4.6MM after this year and pay the new DC?

Will big Donors step up?...Maybe. Will CEO restructure his NEW contract..take a $500,000 pay cut...on top of his already 5% reduction..Hell to the no.

Now, if you can remove BO and you want Marcus...He makes $600,000 per year at Cincy. Offer $1MM with bonus incentive contract.

Freeman might be a head coach by next season with how successful Cincy has been this year. Who knows who retires or makes the NFL jump after this year. He’s probably put himself in as good of a position for a HC job as any coordinator this season.

If that is true, then one must question why he was hired to begin with.

O wanted his own Venables. He was aiming for longevity with Pelini. Someone should have informed him that Venables actually coaches at a p5 program and has been creating game plans for modern offenses. We pay this guy how much? Come on coach

Then we could go after Mike Tressell or David Reeves. They would all be better than the shite show we have now

Right now, you could promote any high school DC and not do much worse.

This is a strong list. Young energetic and innovative. Reeves and Freeman would be fantastic amd you wouldn’t have to pay $2mill to get them
