Honest question regarding the fractures within the team:

How much of this has to do with Ryan Clark and the political activism of the offseason. Covid and the media gave these players plenty of time to get involved. It galvanized some teams, but that doesn’t appear to be the case with ours.
Is it completely unrelated to the suckage on the field? Is it simply a footnote? Or should we have seen it as a bigger issue?

I still stand with the sensible faction of fans that argue no young man would put a small political squabble in the way of a potential future NFL contract

Everything this year is bothering everyone, weather it's background or up front in your face.

No factor when they win but all important when they lose.

I highly doubt it’s any issue at all within the team.
Fans are more pissed that Ryan has the fricking audacity to come at our program and try to hurt it.
He’s still butthurt that they didn’t want Jordan, his son.

I see no correlation at all. What we're seeing is a coaching issue combined with the effect of opt outs that resulted from this pandemic. Politics has nothing to do with the product that we're seeing on the field. Ryan Clark has nothing to do with the product that we're seeing on the field.

In normal seasons the team lives in a football bubble during the season. When you add a distraction like Ryan Clark and his nonsense players lose focus. Keep in mind Clark is very involved with the Bootleggers so several of the players have known him longer than the coaches. He is very influential, made himself a distraction and as a result its very obvious some of the players no longer eat, breath and sleep football.

I think they do exist. It’s natural when a team is playing below expectations. People point fingers, assign blame, etc. It’s a bad look when you don’t help your teammate up after they get rocked.

Is there even one shred of real evidence that there is a fracture working the team over politics other than idiotic speculation from the rant?

Well why do you think we had so many opt outs? Was it just a coincidence it happened right after o said he loves trump?

Our program? Have you ever played for lsu? Or given back to the university as much as ryan clark? STFU!!!

Some of the players from the last year are probably wondering why they aren’t in the NFL and in my opinion aren’t giving it their all. The pandemic is furthering their lack of engagement. It’s just an opinion.

No but these aren't things that are ever released publicly until well after the fact. I think there's too much wrong to just outright dismiss the idea because we haven't heard anything.

You have to put that on the coach.
I think that is exactly what's happening.
You can see clearly not everyone's heads are in the game

Well if there's any truth to that, they're only hurting themselves and their futures.

That’s where being 19 or 20 years old with stars in your eyes comes in. These kids don’t understand the implications and the staff isn’t able to make them see it.

I really don't think that's an issue at all.
Just put it in the simplest of terms: Who's teaching them? Are the players improving? Are they regressing?
There have been no adjustments and players that lit it up last season look mediocre at best this season.
There's some disconnect between them and the DC.
The OL needs improvement too. But I think the focus should be on the defense. We look lost. That's on Pelini. O earned my trust after last season but it's definitely shaken now and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like that.
Pelini has proven to be not a good coach. Look at the games. The results speak for themselves. If O sticks with that, he's really making a bad decision. In my opinion.
The Alabama game is going to be horrible, Ole Miss has a good QB, even Arkansas, they have a better defense than us and we have more talent. That right there is a fact and it's insane to say, "let's give it more time." A&M? Florida? Really?
I don't understand the Pelini defenders and making up excuses like "we're young" and blah blah.
We have the talent to beat these teams. I don't think anyone will disagree with that. We don't have the right coach to coach the guys we have.
I expected a drop off from last season but no one expected this. This is inexcusable.
No such thing as bad student, only bad teacher.
