I broke a rib once when I had the flu. Which meant a lot of coughing.
Wrap as tight as you can while being able to breathe comfortably.
3 weeks, and only minor pain standing or sitting. I think I had no pain after 4 to 5 weeks.

I took a soccer ball off a rib and that sucked.
If that was just a bruise then count me out of cracking/breaking one

I broke three ribs in a car accident. The first week was horrible. It was very hard to sleep because I couldn’t get into a comfortable position.
It took about a month before I could feel pretty normal again.

I broke 2 ribs last year and it took about 8 weeks to not feel any pain. It was extremely painful but I never took percocet. I think my dr gave me a pain patch but it didn't help.

My Dad and sister both fell and suffered cracked ribs.
A lot depends on the severity of injured ribs and the overall health of the person.
It took my Dad about 6 months to fully recover. At the times he was in his 70s. According to him the first few weeks were pretty rough.
My sister fell also and fractured two ribs. The first weeks were pretty rough and it took her about 7 months to fully recover.
Prayers for a full and speedy recovery for you.

Broke some when a quarter horse rolled over me.
Go hug a door jamb when you need to sneeze.
Pain pills You pussy.
I took a couple of swallows of whiskey and bit on bullet if it started hurting.
