You forgot the man himself at the end.

They spared no expense with the effects on this one. Its a good thing they have Disney money backing them or we'd have sock puppet monsters for the rest of season.
A very good start to the season I think.

Like e whole show, that was such a nice little western story. Desperate little town who’s got a troubled past and a big problem. Hero rides in, hostile at first. But through his skill and leadership the townsfolk come together to solve the problem. Might as well have been some downtrodden people in Montana teaming up with the local Indians to kill a man eating bear.
I recognized Olyphaunt from the second he started talking. He’s such a good “Marshall”, perfect casting for that role.
Amazing CGI on the dragon too, they spent some bucks on this one. Great start to the season

Loved that ending.
Good to see Boba looking just like his old man.
Was that the rifle of the assassin chick from Season 1 on his back?
ETA: Upon further review, I don’t think it is.

Star Wars meets Tremors.

Was great. Maybe my favorite ep so far. The krat dragon hunt straight out of kotor, Fett armor then Boba Fett. Loved it. A western space opera they way George wrote the OT, no stupidly over powered Jedi with Galaxy reaching powers and no ridiculous drama. Just good old fashioned fun.

Entertaining episode, but I had one problem with it: it did not further the plot at all.
At the beginning of the episode, Mando was looking for a mandalorian to use their secret connections towards finding the Jedi. At the end of the episode, he was still looking for a mandalorian to use their secret connections towards finding the Jedi. Now he has an extra set of armor, that's it.
He gained no information or insight during the episode that helped him in any way. Nothing. He arrived at step 0 and left still at step 0. They didn't need an entire episode of filler, irrelevant material to introduce Boba in the last 60 frames.
Episode 1 was a very entertaining side quest. It did not further the plot one iota, except perhaps a 3 second shot of Boba at the end. I was hoping to not start the season with a filler episode.

Good episode. I was a little disappointed they didn’t advance the storyline with baby Yoda. Love the little eggs they drop us.

One thing I don’t quite get, the armorer talks about the Jedi like it’s some ancient relic of an order, “ancient sorcerers,” but per the timeline the phantom menace was like 40 years before the Mandolorian and there were hundreds of Jedi knights then that were very open figures in the republic.
