Micah was rated higher than Damone coming out of high school and is just a better player than him i just think the coaches like Damone because he looks the part but he just doesn't know how to play the mike

I really believe Clark is making the entire Defense worse. I think his being out of position puts other players in a compromised position. This leads to bad angles and speed kills bad angles.

Size difference is extremely noticeable. I see both players walking around campus and Clark more than looks the part of a D1 athlete while Baskervilles size is not nearly as notable. Baskerville is a smart good kid though and I think he will be the better player in the long run.

This year might kill the 18 tradition. 7 for sure needs to die.

Reminds me of 2014 when the defense went from Swiss cheese to shutdown with the removal of a single player: DJ Welter.

Size isn’t everything. Especially in today’s game. Take for example Debo. Was an undersized lb coming out of high school, didn’t start till his senior year and now balls the frick out in the nfl. Same can be said about Queen. Meanwhile guys like Welter and Garrett who both looked the part and never did shite.

Micah Baskerville

Had a play that frustrated the hell out of me on Saturday. Was a 4th and 7ish play. South Carolina checked down and threw it two the running back in the flat. He caught it about 5 yards short of the first down. Baskerville was in great position to step forward and stop him. In stead, he waited at the sticks for the RB to run by and basically jumped on his back and they get the first down. Previous defenses would have stepped forward aggressively and fought for him to not get the 1st down......espicially on 4th down. It looked really soft and not what we used to see. Just not seeing the killer instinct from this defense.

im not even taking a shot at Jacoby Stevens - I know he can play because he dominated last year. But the number 7 is snake bit.

Clark's one of the leading tacklers on the team.
Kinda makes me wonder how great he'd be without being out of position and biting down hard putting himself out of the play so often.

I know Stevens hasn't been great this year but Giles was terrible. He was almost non-existent.

Yep. I went back and looked. It was Baskerville. 7:52 left in the 4th quarter.

That may be a record for longest run on sentence.

I agree. All season I’ve watched him make a good play here and there, but it looks like he’s always to close to the line near the edge or to far back. Either way, he’s out of position and not able to correct it fast enough to move towards the ball, let alone make a play.

Maybe use him like Venebles used Isaiah Simmons.
