My younger brother had a journalism degree. He wanted desperately to be a sports writer. After a few short years he realized he was going broke and had to abandon that dream and change careers. However, he still has a way with written words that I have never been able to attain.

Very tough market. Most sports reporters coming out of college are making well below poverty level. Not sure what it is now but when I took my J101 class the average salary coming out of college was 18-19k. I highly doubt that’s changed much.
I had to transition my plans as well. That was going to be a pay cut for me from what I was already making in college.
