Louisiana coronavirus: 180,991 cases l 5,666 dead l 165,282 recovered. Where's the 10043?

Not sure if you are seriously asking but the difference is active cases.

Although the number isn't that high. It's closer to 6k, not sure where he's getting his figures from.

As someone pointed out its the sensationalism and data manipulation. The writer pulled those figures directly from the ldh site; however, missed some key information

180,991 cases as of 10/27
5,666 dead as of 10/27
165,282 recovered as of 10/19

So the math comes out to just over 10k; however, you have over a week of new cases without adjusting for potentially recovered. If you compare all the data as of 10/19, I believe the actual # is just over 5k
