Starting Josh White or Antoine Sampah over Clark is more important than who starts at QB

Either QB is capable.
Damone Clark is not. He is the worst LB on the team.
I don’t get how the coaches can’t see it.

the coaches can see that the other guys are even worse. That is probably your answer.

If the coaches didn't give Clark 18 I think he would have been benched by now. I guess they think it's a bad look to bench the guy who is supposed to be a leader.

You literally can’t get worse than what Clark has been this year. Last year’s results mean nothing when he’s the worst player on the field this year.

Sure you can.
No you can’t. When Clark is on the field the other team makes a huge play against him every time. He’s out of position and has busted plays every time the opposing team keys on him.

How dare you bring a reasoned football argument to tRant.
Despite the QB sideshow, you are on the money. This is the change that needs to be made most urgently.

Start Micah and bring the freshmen in. Clark shouldn’t touch the field unless both white and Sampah are clearly more lost than him in their reps (Not sure that’s possible)
Sadly, same thing goes for #18 on offense. Emery and tdp need all the carries

These are my favourite posts.
Person who has been to no practices, sat in no meetings, and has never seen the replacement players play at this level can’t figure out why those players aren’t playing
Both of those guys are much lighter and weaker and more inexperienced than Clark.
It is not hard to figure out why a true freshman linebacker won’t be playing in the SEC, there ain’t many that do.

I’m usually with you here. But Damone Clark in 2020 has been directly responsible for a large part of opponents’ scoring and also is now one of the worst LB in LSU history.
It’s pretty obvious he’s on the field bc of his success in 2019. The coaches need to suck up their pride and try something else or we will lose most of the remaining games.

Have you seen White or Samoan play?

this reminds me of LB issue we once had and I won't say the name bc I don't like calling out former players. But everybody, including the coaches, knew he was the weakest link. The dude knew his responsibilities but was constantly burned bc he was too slow and late to make a play. A freshman finally took over and dominated when the staff felt he knew enough to lead the defense. Difference is Clark is fast and athletic but confused on his responsibilities.

The other guys are very likely much worse. That is what happens when you are down 5 -6 LB that were supposed to have eligibility this year. you may get stuck playing guys you would really rather not have to play.
Chaisson
Queen
Phillips
Brooks
Starks
All these guys were expected to be here this year at this time last year. Well with the exception of chaisson.

White is a 4* LB. it’s not like the young guys are scrubs.

They are young and light and have only been in a college weight program for however many months. There aren’t many true freshman linebackers who play in the SEC.

Yet you’re calling for a freshman QB to start? Come on.

Have you seen Damone Clark be physical or affect any plays this year? Me neither. He’s a dud.
