Straight Republican ticket for the rest of my life unless President Trump resurrects the Tea Party or something like it.

Vote a straight Republican ticket
Guilt by association.

I'm 68 and can honestly say I have never voted for a Democrat in any race associated with a national or statewide political office. I have voted for a few Dems in local elections dealing with city and county elections. In those two types of elections you sometimes have no choice.
I wear my Republican badge proudly.

I was a kid during the Reagan years. I remember his presidency well. Even when I was a hardcore Dem, Reagan was in my top 5 presidents. He was exactly what we needed, when we needed it.
I have a hardcore Democrat swear that the Reagan years were awful and that Carter was a better president.

Typically do but not this year. Pretty disillusioned with both Parties. Voted in 5 races, no voted some 20 plus and voted on all 8 local matters.

I will vote up and down Republican for the first time in my life as well...as will my father and two sisters, all for the first time in our lives. I come from a long line of Blue Dog Democrats, but that all started changing with the rhetoric and chaos of Barack Obama's 2nd term. Since then, the Democratic party has gone through an insane and dramatic shift to the left...a shift there is absolutely no coming back from! We were firmly MAGA in 16' and even more firmly MAGA in 20'....and so is almost everybody i know!

The turning point for me was the Kavanaugh hearings. I tell people that I don't know how anyone who watched those hearings could ever vote for a Democrat again (unless they fully redeem themselves - fat chance!).
Before that, I voted mostly R, sometimes 3rd party, but would always consider if a D was really the better choice, and have voted for D's occasionally. After the Kav hearings, no way. I can't imagine an R being bad enough to overcome my desire to totally destroy the Dem party.

My reason for finally completely abandoning the Dem party this year. When they let that much crazy in, I had to reevaluate my status as an independent. Why even hold the center position when there's no chance I can side with that much stupidity.
