Being present during the process and actually participating in it are two radically different concepts.

People can see right through all of this. Just remember the 2016 election was a referendum on Clinton and not Trump. This isn't exactly the first time the nominee for a party didn't matter. Just like in 2008 too. It's dramatic because y'all are acting like propaganda has never been used in an election. Also it's not like everybody can't see exactly what's going on with big tech

If Biden wins the White House and the Democrats win the Senate, the GOP is done as a party.

Puerto Rico statehood, DC statehood, court packing, immigration changes, refugee importing, Big Tech empowerment, etc.

There would be no way to recover.

Bingo.

This election is going to be a wave. One party is going to get hammered hard. If Biden wins they will control all three branches and that makes everything mentioned above a real possibility. All of those things will do irreversible damage and create one party rule in the future. This is the single most important election of my lifetime (43 years). The differences in the candidates (their supporters too) and their visions for the future are so disparate that we’re either going back to our foundational roots and law & order or we’re heading towards a dictatorship.

In some senses it was. It was far from such in every sense, though. Trump created a lot of energy and support because of who he is. In other words, you can't reasonably draw a good parallel to this year in the converse.
