If it allows ppl in rural areas to watch porn without buffering every 15 seconds then who cares? I swear watching porn on hughes net is more frustrating than watching porn on dial up internet used to be.

They are going to be putting up over 20 000 satellites and only have about 620 up now. It will be a while before they are available to everyone.

I think they build and launch about 120 a month

Starlink sounds suspiciously like Skynet.

Speaking of space tech, I had an idea, may be feasible. Use satellites or space station kept in orbit facing the sun absorbing solar and storing to return to earth as energy source.

What do the brainiacs think? Too costly, too small ??

I don't think it would be necessary to capture it in space when we can just get it on the ground.

Enough energy from the sun hits the ground every hour to power our needs right now for an entire year. We just have to capture it.

Hey, if we can have thousands of miles of oil pipeline, why can’t we have 62 miles of cable?

Would you propose to fly it up and drop it down or shoot it up like off of a fishing pole?

We could have cables from space all over the place. Or maybe you’re thinking of enormous batteries that get shuttled back and forth.

storage cells with that new fancy reusable rocket.

They are imploring folks to put solar panels on roofs. That is a firefighter nightmare.
