A dude throws for 2 TDs and 1 pick and 265 yards and y’all think he’s the best thing since sliced bread. Meanwhile, a dude who clearly knows the entire offense with the total trust of the coaching staff and is off to a record breaking start and showed that he could and would play through pain and injury is worse. And the guy who threw for 265 barely started over the other true freshman. This tells me the scheme works. That we fixed our running game. That we improved on the line. That we figured out third down and red zone a bit. Putting those triumphs and prior failures on the qb is hilarious.

Why we haven’t done some of the quicker throws and zone schemes with Brennan is a coaching issue. Not a player issue.

And if it comes to pass the Brennan isn’t all that good, then pull him and put in one of the Freshmen. Until then, roll with the dude with experience who can make all the throws the freshman can and who was and remains the team leader. But keep calling for Finley. I’m sure I’ll get the down votes from the loons on here. As expected.

Never stop, Rant.

We are in good shape at qb. Brennan is the starter, tj can step up and play if needed. Recruits can now see that 3 QBs have played well in this system

Arguments like this really show the board which posters actually know something about football and which posters are simply reactionary and emotional.

The Rant has Back Up Quarterback Syndrome. More often than not the best QB on the team is the backup.

Just wait until Finley has a poor game (Obviously I hope he never has one). He will get ripped to shreds here

For a true freshman Finley looked great. I can’t say Brennan has looked great yet this year.

He also rushed for 1 TD and got a W in his first action ever.

But yeah—screw him for thinking he was better than Myles!

What? Take away last year and he's on track for the best season ever for an lsu qb

Anyone who uses wins and losses to justify one quarterback over the other is ignorant.

Brennan has looked great, he just had a putrid defense that somehow marginally improved in the bye week

To be honest...I feel comfortable with either QB...which is all you can ask for from the most important position.

I second this post.

Dan Orlovsky is an idiot. Just remind yourself how insightful he was about last years team.

so you're saying this based on months of practices you weren't at and 1 game where Finely had roughly half the production Brennan had in his last game?

The real differences this week is that LSU committed to running the ball, the OL opened holes, the defenses stiffened near the red zone, SCAR missed a bunch of FGs.

We actually passed for fewer yards this week.

ETA: No drops by receivers.

There were rumors before the season that Finley was the best qb

If we give up 40+ points and dont get the kickoff return we possibly lose that game.

Especially if we weren't able to run the ball.
