As stated, I'm fairly well educated and versed in this stuff (probably pretty avg for this board)...and I make sure to read each amendment 3 times and think for a minute what im reading.

I get the context of the proposal, but The main problem is the overtly legal jargon causes you to second guess whether you are for or against it.

On that thought, using For/against would probably solve the issue instead if yes/no

They do that to confuse the issue and try to get you to vote the way the writers want.

Exactly. And the site I read that went into detail was really great. It actually left me on the fence on yes/no based on their explanation.

Which is why I legit thought that no debate out of the commission was a for sure no. If both sides have good points, then that’s something that can/should be debated and become a compromise.

It’s how this should work.

I deal with legalese most days at work. I find these confusing at times though too.

I really liked the Rainy Day Fund question. I voted against being able to tap it. This State just wants to be flat broke. They get a nickel and they just have to spend it.
