That is seriously inspirational because I always look forward to your dinner pics. I know you eat well and to see that you can eat like that and lose that much weight is a really big deal!! Outstanding work!!

How often did you have what I would consider to be cheat meals? Have you gone three years without pizza or did you allow yourself once a month to indulge? Just curious because I need to do better with my diet.

Not OP, but I lost weight eating pizza and hamburgers weekly. It’s not about taking a day to gorge. It’s portions and keeping the calories in check while still enjoying the things you love from time to time.

We order pizza all the time. I have 2 slices.

I do limit how often I eat fried foods, pizza and things like that. I pretty much avoided them during the initial weight loss period and now try to space them out at five to six week intervals but I've never just deprived myself of anything. We seldom eat out. We just got out of the habit and most of what I eat is either baked, broiled, grilled or cooked on the smoker. I usually eat a light breakfast, seldom eat lunch and the meals that I post are usually my main meal of the day. I tend to not snack but if I do, it's some sort of nut, a piece of fruit or some jerky. I limit sweets but that's never really been difficult for me. I avoid the office freebies when brought in by vendors.

Also, a big part was to get moving and to keep moving. I started walking on the treadmill on May 1, 2019 and have only missed three days since, all at the same time and when I had COVID. I walk at least an hour a day and for at least four miles. Some days I'll do more and have hit eight miles, on occasion. I walk weekends, holidays, birthdays and whatever. When I started, I decided that I would do it everyday that I was healthy because there would be days that I couldn't. I've had a pretty good run. With better health, I'm generally just more active these days even without the treadmill.

It's been what has worked for me. I've managed to maintain my weight at +/- five pounds, or so, since losing the weight. It's been four plus years and has become more habit than chore.

It's really all about finding the path that works for you.
