My guess is they got cold feet after Twitter and Facebook banned the New York Post links and disabled their accounts. The Wall Street Journal depends on social media to drive clicks and the clicks provide ad revenue.

It's clear that Bobulinski believes at this point it won't be published and that's why he issued the public statement last night and offered to provide to other outlets the documents, emails, messages and other proof that he provided to the Wall Street Journal.
